Has anybody had any luck installing either Firefox, or Chrome on the 10.2.1.1055 leak? I can get both installed, but both instantly crash when I open them. I downloaded, and installed, both from the 1mobile market.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want one of those over the BB browser?

Chrome does not work. Neither does Firefox...it's an android framework issue
Dolphin browser doesn't work either

Do those even work on Android? I could never get them to work properly. At any rate, both are NOGOs on BlackBerry 10.

It's mostly for the ability to sync my bookmarks, and use the same platform across my devices. I like the BlackBerry stock browser, but was hoping to use one of them others.

There are sync apps in blackberry world you can use to bring your bookmarks over

After several try and error I've found that this version of Firefox works without any problem: v22.0.2
(10.2.1.1055, Q10)
It even worked on 10.1.xxx, too.
My motive was similar to yours, i.e. I wanted to sync my tabs and bookmarks with my desktop conveniently.

Yes, Firefox works fine for me. Don't remember the version but i downloaded from bb10bars.net
Opera runs but doesn't load pages. Chrome never runs.

You wouldn't even be able to sync the bookmarks for Chrome because of the API limitations (can't sign in to any Google made app).

For those who want Firefox mobile and run the latest leak 10.2.1.1055 (at time of writing this ), you can get the apk directly from Mozilla servers :

https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla..../22.0/android/

Just pick up your language and install it !

I tried other versions and couldn't run. Don't know why.

If I open Firefox with the icon it crashes but if I launch it with Ghost commander it works fine.

I've had Opera on my Z10 for quite awhile as a regular bar sideload without issue.

Can't speak to the new leak as I've not got around to it yet.

I use the opera mobile browser on my z10, but only when I'm in reader mode on the blackberry browser and I'm cross referencing or something like that.

Opera mini does work really well on the z10 but the default browser is just so much better
