Hey just wondering if anyone else has been able to successfully load the Square Register app in 1055.

I installed 1055 and download the APK from Google Play and loaded on my Z10 through my PC. That work great and the app installed fine. When I opened the app the screen was stretched and distorted. After logging in and opening and closing the app a few times the screen issues corrected itself.

Did a few transactions and it worked great. The only issue I'm experiencing now is the actual name the app is displayed as.
instead of "Register" as it would show in Apple and Android is shows the app name under the app icon as a series of numbers "2131427986"

I downloaded and installed it from 1mobile market and the name shows as numbers for me as well

Installed Square 1.0.0.63 and have no problems, although the reader doesn't work. It tried to detect it at first, but crashed the app... now, it doesn't even detect the reader, even though microphone permission is allowed.

But, no distortion or name issues.

I had the same issue. I just went back to a version I had that was converted to BAR that works perfectly (well, I haven't used it since I updated to 10.2.1.1055, but I assume so as it worked on previous versions and accepted payments via swiping cards).

Downloaded the newest update of Square Register. Loaded as before without any issue and opens perfectly now not as before so no screen distortion.

However the app name is still messed up. It's a different series of numbers now.

Oh well, at least it works.

Pull the APK directly from Google Play using one of the APK downloaders Crackberry.com has listed.

On the leak BB10 OS .1055 Square Reader is working great.

That's the one I have. It's at version 1.0.0.118. Looks like if I put in the reader and then restart the phone with it in there, it then works. I pull it out, it disconnects (obviously) but putting it back in again, it again doesn't recognize it until a restart.

That's the same way mine works as well on 10.2.0.429 as well.

Okay, well an update for you.
I noticed there was another recent update for Square Reader (Rev 1.0.0.118) so I downloaded the APK from Google Play and installed it. I did an update not a fresh install. The app installed and loaded fine, I had access to all the stuff I've loaded into my store. Plugged the reader in and the app froze. Nothing... dead had to close it. It will not work with the reader plugged in.

So I uninstalled it and installed the older version (Rev 1.0.0.107) and now it works perfect again.

Wanted to update this thread. Apparently I had a dud reader. Used my friends and it would detect it no problem as I plugged it in and unplugged over and over. I ordered a new one and the new one works great as well.
