I've noticed this problem too on 10.2.0.1791 on STL100-1. Takes quite a few seconds to complete name and then send, after buttons pushed.

I am having problems with Sms too. It is extremely slow loading conversations. It won't let me do anything until it is loaded either.

I've had this since 10.1 MR I think. It has something to do with text messages populating/indexing.

I haven't tried it but I think if you were to delete your texts it would run much smoother, but I would advise backing them up first in case you ever need them again.

Yes it does take long to load even when I'm creating a new message so when people say it's because of the history of texts you have its really not.

Had this issue too, deleting all sms history, seems to have helped a little, far from ideal solution though

I have this problem too. It is so annoying. I want to go back to my old update. Also, it takes time to load and then it goes on to other peoples. Any solutions?

I'm having this issue too. It also doesn't let me send texts. I have to restart for it to allow me to send one or end the chat. Super annoying!

I'm having issues also …

1) slow to allow me to select a contact name,
2) keyboard hides txt writing box - so I have to type blindly, then hide keyboard to verify my writing, then bring back keyboard to send msg.

only since 10.2 update.

(also have video camera freezing "on" … can't she if off unless I crash the app. Which sometimes crashes the whole phone.) And phone crashes if I try to long press the phone icon from home screen.

My buddy has the same issue. Very annoying. Works on my z10 with same model and OS.

Is there a fix?

Also 2 things.
1. after he deletes the text and composes a new one the chat history still exist.
2. Even composing to a new contact has the same issue.

Feel bad as mine works amazing.

It shows that this is not a problem for everyone.

Can anybody confirm that this issue has been resolved in later OS version, especially 10.2.1.1925 or later? I've got a client using 10.2.0.1809 on a Q10 complaining about very slow SMS and also random rebooting.
