    I recently ripped a couple of CDs in iTunes using 320kbps AAC (VBR). When I listen on my Z10, there are occasional blips of silence. There are no issues playing back on my computer.

    Has anyone else noticed this? Any recommended codecs?

    I've got some non-VBR 320kbps MP3s that play fine on the Z10 (digital download for vinyl), and some 256kbps VBR AACs from other CD rips that also play back just fine. Maybe I should just re-rip the new albums with 256kbps.

    What os version? What hardware version (stl100-1,2,3,4)?
    Are you using the standard music player, or a 3rd party app? These are the types of detail that will help answer the question

    STL100-3, 10.2.0.1791, built in music player.

    I guess it's just an issue in the codec.

    The files played fine on my Mac. I re-ripped at 256kbps and that version plays fine on the Z10.
