Hello all

My son wants to use my old 7290 which still runs great! But it does not have BBM. Is there a software for this series that has BBM?

I'm not sure if you could add a COD from a different OS and get it to work or not. But that would be the only way.

You can buy much newer Blackberry phones on ebay for 20 bucks or less. They can surf the web to a limited extent, and have bbm and all of that. They also wont have all the apps that newer smartphones do that you might be concerned about. So those could be a win win.

You might want to check out this other thread, in which someone mentions that he got BBM onto his 7290 using BBSAK:

Seems, however, that it overloaded his 7290.

Your son can use PIN messaging on your old 7290 and get 99% of the goodness of BBM.
