This is one of my first few posts.

I've read all across the forums that people have performed a clean update to 10.2 to get rid of the android runtime error.
I already installed the Android runtime update from the BBAppWorld, but I want to do a clean install of 10.2 anyway.

Will a security wipe do a 'clean install' or should i nuke the device or something similar?
    Any ideas?

    Thanks

easiest way to reload the official release is through the BB website. I would backup, uninstall apps (speeds up the next wipe), security wipe, and then reload the OS. try not to do a restore from link if you don't have to.

A security wipe should be enough to get a fresh OS. No need for reload software using BB Link, I found that it's an unnecessary step.

Don't reload any backup if possible. Set everything new. As for contacts I think InTouchApp is the best contact backup.

    I'm using a z10.

Intouch sounds good for contacts, but anyway to. Backup my notes?

    Thanks

Oh, i have a z10, stl 100-1. And I'm running 10.2.0.424. And fire chest backup seems like it does the job for the backing up.
