Different strokes for different folks I guess. I enjoyed playing with a Z30 the other day but a couple of things about the Z10 made me want it instead of the Z30.

1. I can replace the battery on the Z10. I can't on the Z30.
2. I find the Z10 "right-sized" whereas the Z30 is too large for me (and my hands aren't small)
3. The Z10's screen is crisper, whiter and more vibrant to my eyes.

The Z10 just seems to be shrink-wrapped around all its goodness. Sounds kinda geeky, I know, but the smaller form factor packed full of electronic goodness and that beautiful screen on the Z10 continues to win me over. It's also better looking. The Z30's silver chin doesn't look right to me.

Thanks for that informal review. I haven't even held a Z30 myself so I am anxious to compare it to my Z10 as soon as I can.

I am inclined to agree. While I recommend to everyone that hasn't got a BB 10 as yet that they go with a Z30, I really don't think after playing with one that its much of an upgrade over my Z10. Its nice, nicely made, runs VERY well, has a great battery life and great size screen but for me, my Z10 actually leaves me content right now.

Only reason why I went to the Q10 was cuz the battery life was horrendous on the Z10

I understand that battery life has improved somewhat with the OS 10.2. I'm currently rocking a Q10 because my wife "stole" my Z10 and gave me her Q10. I'm picking up a Z10 tomorrow. Brand new, unlocked for $C275. I could have had a Z30 virtually free from my carrier if I renewed my contract, but the Z30 didn't steal my heart like I thought it would. So, back to my first true love.

All of the points that u raised, my friend and I have brought up too in regards to Z10 vs Z30. I have small hands and the Z10 fits my hands perfectly, as well as jeans pocket. And I love removable batteries. The battery bundle solves my battery life issue altho I cannot complain about my battery life.

I prefer the Z10 also. I played with the z30 and I liked the speakers and that was about it. Prefer the style and size of the z10 and battery doesn't bother me since I have a car charger.
I had the z10 when it first came out then it got stolen, went to iPhone 5 and got bored with it. Decided to try the q10 and loved it but didn't like the small screen. Then I had an upgrade available and was looking at both the z phoned and preferred the z10.
