Took my phone off charge at 0700 as I left the house, it's been on my desk today doing not much more than buzzing away with various messages, the occasional call and mainly deletes from my side. it's now exactly 17:00 so 10 hours later and it's already in the red - RUBBISH - what a load of rubbish compared to the 5S and 4S - I hate this phone.

Sorry to hear this. You may still hate the phone, but a battery pull can fix this problem. And, note that you do have access to the battery with a Blackberry. That's not so with the iphone.

You last 10 hrs?!! I usually go 6 then swap batteries lol. Idc about battery life. I'd rather have a thinner phone and swap batteries than a thicker one that lasts long. (although I agree, at the thickness they're at now, they should be able to fit a bigger battery)

I feel like I have read similar sentiments as this OP's posted in other threads using the same words "rubbish" and "I hate this phone". Seems odd IMO. I do get great battery life on my Z and can last for 12 hours easy. And that is with 10.1. Using wifi when I am home, heavy texting and social media. I do have the battery bundle and will do a swap so I can keep moving.

People like you are rather funny. It's times like this I'm glad there are people like me with the z10 that have phenomenal battery life despite being off the charger since 8:25 this morning from a full charge used my social networks i.e. all 3 being fb, Twitter and instagram (uploaded one picture and just viewing from time to time all day). Received and sent 40 emails cos I receive work and personal emails, loads of bbm messages via the bbm group, a few text messages about 5 received and 5 sent, a couple of whatsapp group messages, one 121 whatsapp message, one121 bbm message from a friend which of course include me replying so let's say like 10 messages sent in that conversation with me sending a picture also. I've taken two incoming calls and two missed. Despite all that my battery is only at 41%. Let's not forget I've also been browsing the crackberry site using this app for like the last 15 mins before coming across your post. That's about 11hrs 50mins usage all day and only used 59%. Pics below to prove it.

I hate the iPhone battery life just like my colleague who moans everyday since she updated to ios7.. it's a load of RUBBISH!

Wait for another software update z10 has small battery capacity and the os still new too. But I think this problem never showed up on q10 and z30 user that have huge batt capacity.

Not a chance in hell can you get more battery life on an iPhone 5s. I've had many people complaining about it and I've told them all techniques I learnt from Crackberry to milk it.

It depends largely where you live. For me in an area of rural and urban mix I have frequent radio changes from G/E/H.

Most important trick is to ALWAYS turn off wifi when you leave the range of it. So going out the door of your home. Also use any free wifi you can find when out downloading data.

If you have a long day and need your phone, try turning off data to Voice only. Basically dumbs down the phone to just calls and texts. Handy for meetings. I've done this but recently I have been leaving data always on now and still get 15 hours life at a bare minimum.

Turn off bluetooth.

Get into habit of charging for long periods.

Seriously you will not find a better phone that handles battery life. 5s is equal to the z10, poasibly marginally ahead but it depends how you use your phone.

Oh and keep apps to a minimum.

I'm curious. People who only get 6-10 hours out of their phone, what do you have running/turned on? I only have email checking every hour (I'm at work), and don't turn wifi on unless I need it (same with bluetooth). My brightness is at about 30%, which is plenty for me. I make lots of calls and texts during the day. When I get home, at least lately as I have just got my Z10, I install apps, surf, general play, try to get things working (*cough* I'm looking at you dosbox). Played for 4 hours last night.

Off charger at 6am, on at midnight (20%). What am I doing wrong (or right?). Oh, my provider is 3G only at the moment, so I don't have LTE turned on. I'm on 10.2.0.424 (official update).
