I converted app call Tanglish app from Android to BB10 BAR file.
This app let you type in Tanglish (Tamil in English form, such as amma) and convert it to Tamil.

Feel free to download from the link below.
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...o-tanglish.bar

After using for some time, I found an issue:
When I type in the tool and copy the typed content, then I minimize the app to go to the hub or another app to paste it. when I come back this app and start type again, it doesn't work correctly.

To work around, I found that after I copy the content, press the back button on the bottom left of the app, and that will minimize the app for me. When I come back to the app after pasting, the app works fine. So please follow that method.

    Guys,

I did not do anything. When we didn't have ability to install APK directly to BB, we had to change the APK to bar file and side load.
    Thats all I did.
I really wish I know anything about writing an actual app for BB to type in Tamil, but I don't.

I installed the same app from SNAP again but having trouble so I do not use it.
If I am to write something very general I use Google Translate (installed from Snap too) or use a website to translate my thangilish to Tamil.

I really wish Blackberry bring Tamil keyboard, but I don't see that happening anytime.
They do not give access to their keyboard to other 3rd party developers so its impossible for a 3rd party to create a Tamil keyboard, if my understandings are correct.
A Third part still can develop an app to type in Tamil and allow it to copy from the app and paste it in any app we need.

There are other languages with larger customer bases still waiting for their keyboard, so Tamil is not going to happen soon.

Thank you. I'll check it out.

    1. I need an button to go to next line. Is that possible?
    2. On Z10, the keyboard leyout is not covering from side to side. Is tit possible to make it cover side to side so the buttons are little more wider?

    Thank you for your efforts.
I am not familiar with the app development but just wondering why can't we use the stock keyboard and type in Tamil?

    Thank you for your updates.
Now I can enter new lines and save some time.

    I do have more requests.

Is it possible to go back to edit something from the middle? Say if I have 5 words and I realise I made a mistake in word 2.
Currently I have to delete all the words after the mistake to fix it.
I would like to go to that work and edit that mistake alone, or delete that word and retype it instead of delete a lot more to fix an error.

Please accept my apologies if you feel I'm demanding updates from you.
Feel free to speak openly about your thoughts.
    Thank you.

    10 years?
I would say 10 years, but I want BB10 to open and give us option to switch input language.
Its so irritating to think that all other platform has Tamil keyboards except BB.

Check out UnicodeMap in BlackBerry World! You can find it at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/21698984

We can copy-paste Tamil with it.
