I got a casemate barely there (v1) and i have put it on and taken it off a few times. I've noticed that due to the way its put on, its started to damage, or at least remove some of the paint finish on the corner of the edges where the cover snaps on. Anyone else noticed this?

Yes! usually Hard Covers damage the sides and give some scratches to the device!

this i did not know! are there any hard covers which do not do this? does the blackberry hardshell transform case also do this? from the pictures it looks a litle like it has a soft inner lining

The BlackBerry hard shell don't scratch the phone but you can see were it has been by the ends been covered look brand new and other ends of the phone have gone a more shiny finish

Go with the transform case. It has a soft inner lining and has never damaged my z10

In the "old" days, even silicone cases "helped" damage the phone's exterior - grit could easily work between the softer case and the phone and abrade the phone.

I have an Otterbox for my Z10 and it works perfectly. I haven't experienced any damage, cosmetic or otherwise!
