Looking to upgrade my Sprint Q10 to OS 10.2 and would rather do so via OTA then install from desktop. I know that it's possible to install a SIM card from a provided that has released 10.2. I was thinking a Canadian provider like Rogers. Would that work with my Sprint Q10?

The sprint q10 will be an oddball. I would just install a leak instead of finding another SIM

Sprint has not yet officially released 10.2, so there is no ota update from them at this time. Unlocking your device and inserting a different carrier's sim might help get the ota, provided that carrier has released 10.2. I'm on sprint as well, just waiting for them to push it out so I don't have to go through the hassle of loading a leak or using a different carrier's sim. It might come sooner than we think. Read somewhere that it's expected to be out to every carrier by the end of the month. We shall see.

Still waiting on that 10.2 update from Sprint. Thought we'd get it by now but as usual, sprint (not capitalized on purpose for lack of respect), is late to the damn game. Can't wait for direct-reply on TOAST notifications and REAL lock screen notifications. I've only heard great things about the update.

Use sachesi and get it from Rogers that way. That's what I did.

If anyone on Sprint wants to know how to get official 10.2 now, here is how. Download sachesi on your pc. Extract the zip file and open sachesi. Under the search tab, enter country code 302 (canada), carrier code 720 (rogers), model q10 and variant SQN-1005. Once it finds 10.2, download it. Then go to the backup tab and perform a backup. When the backup is finished, go to the install tab. Open your file explorer on your pc, navigate to where you saved 10.2, drag and drop it to the install tab on sachesi. Wait for it to finish (about 30 minutes) and then wait for the phone to reboot. The phone will sit on the blackberry screen for about 5 to 10 minutes before rebooting.

Yes but having said that your phone needs too be updated fast! It's one of the best updates yet to come.

Never mind. I didn't extract sachesi first...was just opening sachesi with winrar w/o extracting to a location first.

If you're on Sprint, fill in the apn with n.ispn and save it. That should fix your data.
