Hi everyone,
Well we waited and waited and waited for the release of the Bold, now I hear Nov. 4th I hope that is the day for those of you waiting. My only real concern with the Bold was reception...would it perform in sketchy areas? I bought a Pearl a couple months ago and it was terrible, this was probably not a fair comparison. So I waited...and waited.

I bought the new E71 and I gotta tell you, it is phenomenal!! I have had it for a few days and I am picky, very picky and the E71 is simply top notch.

If you have the chance you should check it out. It is very highly rated on all online reviews.

I contemplated an e71, I figured I'd rather spend the extra $300 on an unlocked bold and am glad that I did.

Now thats BIZARE!! I watched a Boy Genius video review of the E71 floating around on the internet yesterday and they said it was the BEST they have reviewed in a loooong time.

Something is fishy here... I'll see if I can find that video review from BGR.

I am a very big fan of s60 software and my previous device before the Bold was the E71. I would never say a bad word about it since it is literally a top notch amazing device (those of you haters just don't appreciate it for what it is ).

The Bold better suits my personal needs and I couldn't be happier with it. But the E71 (and s60 in general) is still amazing.

Even though you didn't get the Bold, you still made a great choice. And if you end up not liking it, you can always switch.

I'm gona side with the OP.

I loved my E71 when I had it. I only sold it because I needed BB platform. (Wish E71 had BB-connect). I've become too dependent on it. E71 is perhaps the best looking phone in the market (Only if you hold it, you can tell that, pics dont do justice to this phone). It's ridiculously thin, and sleek and feels MUCH better built than my current Rogers bold. (Bold's jst cheap plastic infront of the metal E71). The screen of Bold set's it apart, but the rest (keypad/feel/looks) is personal preference, and I've shown both the phones to everyone I know, and E71 was instantly a hit amongst my peers. Too bad it didnt suit my needs.

I may end up buying another E71 as my backup, but if you arent addicted to BB platform, E71 is the perfect replacement for pretty much every single BB user out there.

You made a smart choice, in my eyes E71 is the best designed phone in the market. Congratulations on your purchase, and PM me if you need help with S60.

Main reason I will never leave Blackberry alone. Imagine BB allowed the devices that are capable of BB connect to have BB Messenger or at least be able to PIN message back and forth, I think they would lose sales.

Indeed, I just get bored with things easily which is why I like having options. Which is exactly why even though the storm isn't really something I want I am getting it just so I have something else to play with... LOL
