Hello everyone,

Now that BBM is cross platform... How about we start by ourselves BB users to unsubscribe from Whatsapp and have it removed from our BlackBerrys? I have already done that myself, with my circle of friends and family... I haven't seen much resistance so far...

I can't just yet because the iOS and android versions of bbm can't be muted on a group to group basis.

Removed it already. No need for Whatsapp and my Girlfriend likes BBM soo much expecially the PING button :'-(

While I would definitely love to, Whatsapp is too far integrated in Dutch social life. I will try to mention BlackBerry Messenger as a viable option on Android and iOs, but in the end, it is a personal choice. Sure, I'll make some of my friends try, but most will probably not care a ****.

I remember the days we were waiting impatiently for WhatsApp. WhatsApp was kind enough to make an app for BB10. How thankful we are now? I may delete whatsapp if I am bored but not because of BBM.

I'm sure that WhatsApp wasn't doing it cause they wanted to do us any favors. They wanted to convert BBM users. So I don't feel I owe them anything.

I have been saying this for a while.. However, I came to the conclusion that I need to give my contacts the time to let it sink in... Their first choice for a foreseeable time will be WhatsApp, because most of their contacts are using this.. The transition from BBM took years in a slow and steady motion.. I think the transition back will be the same...

I have about ten contacts with regular chats.. Once they all have BBM, WhatsApp will be gone from my device.. Won't need it anymore...

Lol.. I thought about deleting whatsapp.
But, the curiosity in me holds me back.
I mean, how else do you want to check the identity of a missed call easily?
This is how to do it.
Everytime an identified number called me and i don't recognise them, i save their number with 'unknown' as their name in my phonebook. This is so that whatsapp will pull the person id into their server and pushed to my phone.
And by doing this, you could easily retrieve their name and picture to know who they are.
Of course it only works if they installed whatsapp in their phone.

Or answering the call could be easy.
