So I tried to update to 10.2 and I got the usual connect to wifi message so I did.

Started d/l the 463mb update and then in was installing this update when it automatically went back to step 1 and d/l a 1009mb update. This took almost an hour to do this.

Then I get an error message at 86% complete telling me to make 2707mb of space available?

I had 14.4 gb used up on my device. And right now after cancelling and trying to restart the update I get am error msg telling me to clear up an additional 1200mb of space.

    Is this really a 2gb + update?

    Hi Kyle,
As for many installations, the download size does not reflect the mandatory size to perform the install.
The DL is compressed and needs extra room to perform the update, so that a 2X factor isn't surprising to me.

I was told by my carrier it won't work over wifi, you have to update through blackberry link. Once I was able to update my BlackBerry link software and back up my device, all went well.

Keep in mind though that 16GB is nominal, It is not the true capacity of the device, since storage is calculated in bites. We also need to take into account that the OS and core apps also take at least 2GB of the space available. So you should have 14GB tops on a brand new device.
