    Hi guys, i downloaded the official 10.2 today on fido, it said it had to restart to take effect. So i took my phone off, and since then, it hasnt been booting up, it stops at either 98% or 100% and just stays like that until i pop he battery out of my z10 and back in... any advice?

    How much time are you allowing before taking battery out? Sometimes a full reboot, especially after an OS update, can take a while.

    Between 15-30 minutes , how long do you suggest I wait? also, once it did happen to power up, but the hub was black, and almost all the apps i tried opening, including bbm and the settings app, all closed immediately after openng. So i did another pull and since then it hasnt started

    You will need to most likely reload OS. If you pull the battery even once during first boot process, it will mess things up. Patience even if it sits at, 100% for 1 hour. Its a huge update, lots to crunch.

    Ill leave it booting for an hour then, but if that doesnt work, how can I reload the OS? Note: I never synced the z10 with blackberry link on my computer

    Start by installing LINK V1.2 from www.blackberry.com . I hope u have backup

    Ok so I wont have a backup , but I can easily get back contacts and whatever else I lost (kept most of my stuff in an SD card anyway). The thing is though, my phone isnt being picked up by link when i plug it in . Thanks for the advice btw .

    When you do OS reload,it should be picked up, right now it's probably in a bad state so it can't see it.

    It take me a total of 3 hours from update launch all the way up to when my hub gets ready....

    I was scared too but I didn't touch the phone. Just leave it connected and it works. Hasty battery pulls can ruin the update and sometimes even brick your phone.
