    My iPad 3 and it's battery seems to be worse than my z10 and having background apps constantly refreshing will only make it worse.

    I would only like certain apps like Sayit and Flip Shush to be integrated in future. The future is about integration and less on apps.

    Facebook sees that vision too and BlackBerry have it bang on with hub.

    But you're not saying you don't want them to exist, are you?

    It's about choice. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you'll be in control of permission for an app to run headless.
    Plus, there will be a few different types of headless apps. Shao wrote a couple great blog posts on this about a month ago.
