    Just started getting red X's when trying to send messages to contacts out of nowhere. BBM has worked almost perfect until this. Anyone else? Is it down maybe?

    I would perform a hard reset (not the same as a Restart).

    Hold down the top button of device. Ignore the onscreen countdown, Restart option, black & white BB splashscreens, etc.
    Keep holding down top button until you see the blue startup icon, then release.

    Any better after that reset?

    UPDATE: I receive messages but mine do not go through to anyone but BlackBerry users. Going to try the hard reset now. Thanks

    Wait. We have to go out and get a download to fix this? Where is the notification of the problem from BlackBerry?
