Hi guys, I always buy my phones out right and today I bought the new z30, I tried to insert my chopped up micro sim which is a tad smaller than its meant to be but it worked fine on my z10. On the z30 though it's a different matter, it got stuck and some pins popped up keeping it in, I had to open the phone to get my sim out. I just went to Vodafone and got my sim card properly swapped on to a new micro sim but too late, I put it in the phone and it no longer recognises the sim is in there
What are my options?
I now have a �500 paper weight from carphone warehouse

I hope that breaking into your phone (if that's what you did) will not void its warranty.

Send it back for a repair, i had a 9900 which messed up through my fault and they fixed it without charging me.

Might take a few weeks tho but that's your only option.

I'm happy to pay for my mistake but I don't want to have to bin it for another phone already

Have you already opened the phone trying to fix it yourself? If yes, you have voided your warrenty which means they'll most likely charge you for any repairs.
If not, you can try telling them some accident happened due to the SIM-card, but even then I doubt they'll repair for warrenty, something like that usually doesn't happen with production sized SIM cards.

In the end you'll have to go to the shop and discuss with the staff.
