How has the z30 been selling at your local carrier?

My Telus rep had a z30 about a week before release. I noticed and was jealous. Yesterday, he delivered one to me. I manage a large mobile fleet so I get it, but I was surprised to get this for nothing.

I believe stock levels are low - even lower than Z10/Q10 at release. My local Telus only had two on hand, where back in May my local Rogers was getting ten Q10s a week and selling them all.

Marketing needs to get their *** in gear.

I picked mine up on day one, then I went searching for a case and every phone shop I went into they would all say the same thing.
You have a Z30 can I see it, in front of all the customers buying phones. It was funny.

Marketing is zero on this phone. Even the carriers have nothing in the store. It's just sitting there.

I guess BlackBerry believes it will just sell itself?

Axiom is the distributor of BlackBerry in Middle East... according to the Sales person to whom I bought my Z10, the Z10 is more "in demand" during its first week to a month - compare with Z30 current sales' rate... and if it will not improve within a month or so, Z30 price will be reduced earlier than Z10... we may have discounted Z30 by Christmas...

And yes, no grand marketing either...

I'm getting the impression that BlackBerry had just a small number of production runs for the Z30, and presumably before the Z10 write down. Now they are being sold off with no fanfare or advertising and seem to be in somewhat of a limited supply, even in Canada. In hindsight, Rogers probably had no need to publicly announce that they weren't going to carry the phone. But it certainly gave much more publicity than BlackBerry has bothered to do.

Checking ebay, there are only 17 Z30's listed worldwide! And only half are above the list price from stores. When the Z10 was released, there were many more listings and most were well above the list price, with a substantial number selling over $1000.

So the BlackBerry 'for sale' announcement in August and the terrible financial results end of September have done their damage and it looks like the Z30 only has interest from BlackBerry fans like CBer's. A real shame as all accounts here are saying it is the best BB10 phone yet.

Apparently the Z30 goes on sale in South Africa at the end of October. None of the retail outlets have a clue about the phone or if and when it will be released.

Is BlackBerry saving cash for whatever change happens after its sale?

It would be nice to see the new BlackBerry hit the road with a new device with current spec.

Lol, I also couldn't find a screen protector for my Q5.

I ended up buying a CAPDASE rubber shell for my phone to get its screen guard The shell(or what ever it's called) is actually very nice, it has a raised lip to keep the screen off the flat surface it's placed on face down just like my old Z10 transformer shell.

Obviously I don't know first hand what the Z30 battery life is like but the Q5 battery is great! When I get my Z30 I will give my Q5 to a family member.

That's exactly what I did with my Z10. Battery life on Z30 is just amazing. On a moderate use easily last 1,5-2 days with a single charge. Normal use it lasts 14-18 hours. I've also the Q10 which has also a very good battery. I'm using these two now and really happy with both. I hope you will enjoy the Z30 when arrives to SA neighbour!

P.S. I have mine through a friend that was visiting Dubai last week. That's why I have the chance to have one for a week.

Just went into White oaks Mall, in London, Ontario, Canada, and every Bell outlet still only has dummy Z30's on display. The phone is released in Canada now, but they can't show you an actual unit. Unbelievable. Why say something is released, but you aren't able to show people a real, functional unit? Doesn't make any sense. It's almost as if they don't care at all....

It makes sense... they got slammed for over producing the z10... so why ramp up Z30 production and get slammed again? I get the feeling the only reason this device is being released at all is because they already had it locked and loaded. Also with the company in transition I'm sure they are trying to hold onto all the cash they can.

Launched in Singapore but you wouldn't know about it unless you were specifically looking for it.
My wife was going to get the z10, then we saw the z30 in the shop. I am jealous.
Probably BlackBerry's best phone ever and zero marketing. Such a shame.

Hi Amazon UK had genuine Z30 leather pocket case, and screen protector from Germany,
Bought both for my Z30, might be worth looking there,
