Hello everyone.
I have decided to flog my Q10 in order to get a high end android device. I'm considering the Htc one and the samsung galaxy s4. Which one do you guys think would be the better pick?

Perhaps you should ask an android fansite on which android phone is best for your android uses. Seriously, you make a cb account and on your first post you announce you are leaving blackberry lol, im not sure many will take you seriously.

Why dont you flog is and get a proper high end device like the Blackberry Z30?

Not an expert on Android, but tried both of your choices 1st hand.
HTC one its superior to the S4, read reviews on the S4, not such a stellar device. They have plenty of issues too, with Text Messages, WhatsApp messages, overheating, etc.
HTC one is also the only other phone (other than Z30) to have stereo speakers, but it doesn't sound nearly as good as the Z30. (I tried them side by side).
Built quality on the HTC one seems far superior to the S4, the S4, seem cheap and flimsy, fells like you can almost crush it in your hand.
Maybe i'm just used to the heavier Z30 and HTC one is closer to that.

Also HTC One has a "cleaner" version of Android, not so packed with "custom stuff" (garbage) from Samsung.

I've tried them both and while the HTC feels like a more solid phone there are some notification issues that drove me crazy and no one seemed to know how to fix it. I have an S4 as my work phone and have had no issues with it. Ideally visit a store like best buy and play around with working floor models for both and you will quickly find out which one suits your needs better.

Just got the Z30, loving it I had the Z10 for a bit which I also loved but wanted a bit more power plus the larger screen. So glad I made the decision to upgrade.

Wait for the Nexus 5 or Note 3.
HTC One is crap besides the screen and speakers.

If you don't want to wait get a Samsung S4 they have every innovative technology in their phones. Look at all the things Samsung offers like S-Health, S-Note, Split screen, camera/video modes, auto screen adjust, eye scrolling etc.. the list goes on forever. They have their own app store that there's soo many things that they offer. The only downside is the hardware quality is nothing like BB. HTC beats them a bit in build quality but not by much.

Me I would go with the s4, but only if those were my only choices. Be careful with the s4 there are a lot of convincing 1:1 clones.

I would check out alternatives like the xperia z1, or wait for the nexus 5.
