They don't have the UMTS (HSPA) 1700 band listed in the phone's specs. Which could easily be an omission on their part, because they don't use the UMTS 1700 network.

Telus business rep emailed me back no white ETA.at this point sorry folks also no way to convert to a wireless model not like the Nokia where you swap out the door. I'm want one bad but going to wait for a white one and poss find the STL0003 model. Jealous of you guys with one today. I would love if it turns out Rogers gets the 0003 I will do as I promised buy it outright and switch my 3 Rogers business line to Telus!

The -3 is the Verizon model, and if I read the FCC filings correctly, it may be compatible with Robellus' HSPA and 1700 MHz LTE networks (certainly the latter.)

Are you trying to tell me that the Telus Z30 will support Rogers 2600 band LTE while the Bell Z30 will not? I was under the impression that the STA100-5 (the model I thought both Carrier will have) only supported 700, 850, 1700, 1900 Band LTE????

I am a rogers user and was about to go out and buy a Bell Z30 and skip on the 2600 Band LTE (because after all Rogers hasn't said what device they will eventually carry and they may just stock the same STA100-5 that Bell and Telus have so it would be dumb to wait weeks for them to have the Z30 Ready) But if someone can confirm that the Telus Z30 does indeed support 2600 LTE then the choice is a no brainer

This is interesting. Telus' model does indeed say that it has LTE 2600, while the Bell model (which should have had it, instead of Telus) does not. Moreover, the Bell model has a non-North American UMTS band (900 MHz) too, so the two must be selling different models. And from personal experience, Telus does a much better job at listing network bands that they don't even use, while Bell may or may not list such bands.

But to answer your questions: the Telus Z30 looks more complete, but you should be able to use either carrier's on Rogers. Remember, the Rogers Z10 does not have the LTE 2600 band either (nor does their secondary Q10,) and if that was good enough for use on Rogers, so is the Bell Z30.

I wonder if what Telus is selling is the STA100-1...

It can't be the STA100-2, because the -2 does not have any 1700 MHz bands.

Here's what BlackBerry actually says about the STA100-5:

Tri-band LTE support: LTE 850, LTE 2100, LTE 2600 MHz band
Quad-band HSPA+ support: UMTS 800/UMTS 850, AWS 1700, PCS 1900, IMT 2100 MHz band

Note that this doesn't match either Telus's or Bell's complete listings
