Just having a quick look at the Z30 instore (Very nice, turning my head from the Q10) and asked the chap who mentioned that the 10.2 update should be with us within a week (14th Oct 2013) so for those wondering in the uk perhaps a little ray of 10.2 sunshine!

After seeing Vodafone UK hinting at an imminent 10.2 release, decided to enquire with EE UK about their 10.2 release plans and got the following response on their Twitter page:

"No update at the moment but watch this space, once available you will see the software update symbol appear on the phone."

So if OP's source is correct VF could well be the one of the first in the UK with 10.2. Then again I had that kind of vague response from EE about 10.1 and it literally rolled out a few days afterwards.

Well it't the 22nd now - more than 'within a week' of the 14th... and Vodafone UK still hasn't updated. I'm still on 10.1.0.4181 - and if I check for updates, apparently I... 'have the latest software'.
