I'll preface this by saying I'm not suggesting Blackberry is going away or done. I also just picked up a Q10 off contract to replace my 9900.

But worst case scenario which type of phone would be your next device if Blackberry stopped making phones and down the line your current Blackberry device finally needed to be replaced? And why that choice?

Obviously based on current or known to be coming devices (as we all know tech changes quick and a whole new company/device could appear).

After some thought I'd go for the latest iPhone. Although I was disappointed with the 4s and went back to Blackberry I like the form and design of the newest ones. And while I don't like the ios look and keyboard I appreciate that Apple makes both hardware and software (like Blackberry). It's second best in my mind to Blackberry due to that single company making the entire user experience that is the biggest selling point.

    How about you?

By the time my Z10 is no longer usable who knows what will be available. Based on today's options, if someone ran over my Z10 and there were no more to be found, I'd probably buy an Experia. I like my Sony products.

But, that ain't happening. So in a year and a half when I traditionally fall out of love with my phone we'll see what there is to be had. All I know for sure is that it won't be an iPhone. Have never been a fan.

If I had to choose this Second and no BlackBerry's were to be found, the Sony Xperia looks interesting. I'm sticking to BlackBerry for as long as I can though

I'd go with a HTC One I think? It's similar in design to the Z10 and it has beats audio.

Probably HTC One or an iPhone 5 (I really thought the 5S offers no significant innovation over the 5, other than the significant price tag.)

I would seriously consider a linux phone. Ubuntu edge (if they actually produce it) seems to be a great unified communications device. But I doubt if it's UI can ever be as good as the BlackBerry Hub. We'll see about that next year.

Me too but I am conflicted. I like iOS the best but the font is much too small to read on many sites and there is no text reflow. Basically size does matter. The Moto X is a perfect size for me. I have a Nexus tablet and I can live with the OS.
We have no microsoft devices in our house so Nokia does not interest me. I already have a orphan device (9900) so BB10 does not interest me either.

Interesting question. It probably would be the Samsung Galaxy 4 or the Sony Xperia. Recently I looked at those phones and they both impressed me.
