So, everyone has been buzzing about what's going to happen to dear old BlackBerry . Here is your chance to predict the future of this truly amazing company.
Just predict the state of BlackBerry as of Nov 4th, 2013. (12 noon)

I predict that Watsa and Mike L will individually fail to come up with funds and meet in the middle. As of Nov 4th, 12 noon, they will have collaborated to take over BlackBerry.

I think BlackBerry will become a bigger player as an innovator bit not as a big time hardware player. I think they are better off intact. I think they will be intact on the November date

Nothing... Fairfax isn't going to come up with the money (doesn't appear he is really trying). Their ploy to get a bidding war going having failed, they will have to either get serious about Fairfax buying BlackBerry, or BlackBerry will have to get serious about doing something to raise operating capital over the next six months.

Mike has no money (at least not the liquid assets to make a difference) or backing, he is just a figurehead trying to drum up some interest.

    My predictions.

    1. Fairfax will become the new owners after other groups fail to make a competing bid.

    2. Shareholders recognizing that $9 a share is the best they are likely to get will approve the offer.

Z30 not launched by any US carrier.
Fairfax lowers offer to $8/share with no other offer on the table.

I'm with you on that prediction!

The Laz and Watsa are up to something with their respective bids!

It will culminate with them joining their bids somehow to take it private and continue the business

I could see Mike and Prem in a partnership of sorts with BlackBerry, maybe Samsung involved too. Samsung using BlackBerry's OS and android. Also producing BlackBerry phones. There is something good going to happen.

Due diligence discovers that another $1B of inventory needs to be written down. Fairfax and Lizardis drop the offer substantially. Snap it up for pennies. Go private, build up the BBM and enterprise offerings. Lease the patents out. Sell the phone business if they can or license bb10 to Asus, Lenova etc.

Switch to company to the "IBM model" software and services.
