    Hey,

I know the Z30 was approved for wireless charging, but did it eventually get it?

If not, then why? Software? Hardware?

    Thanks

Verizon one does. The rest don't. HW support, probably cost more and carriers are not willing to pay.

I don't know why BB does this. They should be like Apple, but i guess if 95% of people don't use it it is a waste of money to put into a device.

The wireless charging or the ability to change the back panel to add it as an option is a significant feature that would help justify the relatively high price. Alternatively a nice magnetic charging connector like the PlayBook would have been nice.

Am I able to adjust the back plate to a Verizon version?

That has nothing to do with it. Verizon paid for an exclusive. Just like color options, wireless charging has became something Verizon pays to offer exclusively.

Look at the LG G2. It can do wireless charging, but not in the US unless it has a Verizon logo on it.

I too would have liked the magnetic charging connector or the charging pods like from the legacy devices. For whatever reason its too bad BlackBerry decided not to include those convenient features.

Not true. The phone is not an exclusive in the normal sense. The other carriers chose not to carry it.

It's not in the backplate. The charging mechanisms are within the device itself, cf. this thread: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...ferent-876092/

Any charger that conforms to the Qi standard is compatible and will work with the Verizon variant of the Z30.
