Anyone out there miss the trackball? Only had one Blackberry with the trackball, the 8330. I didn't mind it and believe it or not I never had any problems with it.

    I had a 8310. I loved the trackball.
Then I got a 8520. I loved the trackpad. Didn't miss the trackball.
    Same with 9780.
Then I got a Z10. Loved not having a trackanything. I don't miss the trackpad.

I am fairly certain that if I had had a trackwheel device, I would have seen the same effect.

If the copy/paste on the z10 was more consistent and worked better I wouldn't miss the trackpad

Only when it's new. Didn't like the trackball when it got older and the rollers got all gunked up.

I'm doing fine on 10.2. 10.1 is not bad. 10.0 was a pain in the back...

I had a Torch 9800 and a 9810; the track ball is amazing but I had trouble with the track ball on the 9800.

It finally quite working and the home button stopped working, that is when I got the 9810. After I had this phone for several months the track ball started giving trouble, not as bad as the problem with the first phone, the track ball was functional.

The Z10 was released and I was interested in an upgrade to the new BlackBerry 10 OS. I have been very happy with using a phone with out the track ball.

You can hardly say the Thorsten Heins runied the whole company. The board has a lot more power than does he.

And I would wager that most people would rather have the larger screen over the trackpad.

I had a Tour 9630 and loved the trackball. It never got gunked up like some people have experienced. The trackpad was fine on other devices. But I don't miss either. And a trackpad or trackball would have no business being on a BB10 device

Yes board is also responsible but Heins is ultimately responsible...to be fair he did do an good job building the product but his lack of common sense on pricing the phones ultimately let to failure of BB10..If the phones were properly priced BBRY would be in a much different position.

BTW you trained 80% of your customers on it for years and took it away like snap in new phone...bad business decision just like on other things.

    Nope.
I think Q10 is really perfect as it is.
Apart from the screen size, but i think/hope it'll be the next big surprise!

I didnt think I would miss, and I dont. The Z10 is well thought out, intuitive, and a pleasure to use. I never think about the trackball unless someone brings it up.

Yes I do. I did not really mind replacing trackballs as it was easy, cheap and somewhere down the line you were able to get them in black as well as other colors.

Don't miss is at all...and the only people who got the track ball gunked up had gunked up pockets they put their phone in...holster or sleeve the BlackBerry and you never have an issue
