I am thinking about buying the Q10. I called Blackberry today and they said there is no way to sync my tasks with my phone. Does this person know what they are talking about? Is this true? I use my tasks alot and have always synced them with my blackberry with desktop software. Why would they take this away? Also is there a free way to sync these things wirelessly?

    You mean tasks in Outlook?

Dunno about wireless sync, but they are correct that BBLINK doesn't offer usb sync of tasks or notes currently. There are third-party alternatives (bb10outlooksync) though.

Note that the BlackBerry app 'Remember' doesn't allow recurrent tasks, so these will cause a problem if transferred into your new Q10 from an old BB. I don't know how third party tools deal with recurrent tasks - I'm afraid to load any in to the phone. Best way to handle these is to create a calendar entry instead - it handles recurrent appointments.

The situation is less than perfect, and BBRY needs to fix it.

Yes they sync. They are in a Tasks folder in the Remember app. But you cannot set reminders or due date times. Just dates.

But I believe this may be fixed to an extent with 10.2.

I am going to try out CompanionLink Software[/url]. This looks like it would work great. I read some great reviews. I tried to install (bb10outlooksync) as recommended here but when I tried to click on the icon after installing It wants me to find a program to open it with. I spent hours on this and gave up.
