We haven't been using the Z30 for long, but we're already finding the device tricky to hold comfortably in the hand, and due to the large size of the screen, we've found it almost impossible to use one-handed, especially given the gesture driven Blackberry 10 user interface.

    And your point is?

You give credence to someone who posts a review but admits he hasn't used it long enough to test the battery and couldn't be @rsed to try out the camera? It would appear he took longer to write that drivel than he spent "testing it"... #SMH

I think the point was that when the Z10 was launched it was hyped as the perfect size to use one handed with all the peek and flow gestures of BB10 but now with the Z30, that ease of use is gone (apparently).

I think it will still be a personal choice thing and some people won't find any issue with the larger Z30. Again, this is why we have choice. What's perfect for me might not be perfect for you.

Nearly impossible? Try putting the z30 in Shaquille O'Neal's hands.

I haven't seen the marketing for this device, but was it advertised as a one-handed device?

That was what I thought when I saw the screen size of Z30. Z10 was the perfect size for single handed use, but bezel was unnecessarily wide and that made Z10 a bit bulkier than it was. Just as playbook. Now z30 has a narrower bezel, which makes it a not-huge-phone even with a 5 incher display.

From the same review: "At 600, we'd have liked Blackberry to put a quad-core processor in the Z30"
Definitely. Pricing has been a big factor in this whole mess. The Z10 (I love it by the way) is expensive for specs, and they made the same mistake with the Z30 now.

Of course. It's a bigger phone. And this should be obvious but here goes.....when things get bigger, they become harder to hold.

The Z30 is a big device for a 5 inch phone and its gesture based OS doesn't lend to one handed use in its form factor. Instead of disputing a review, once, just once maybe take it at face value.

Needing to swipe across the screen to do basic functions on the OS will be affected by the screen size and the overall size of the device. Not so much with pressing the icons on screen but accessing the multi tasking screen, the hub and the features which distinguish it from other OS's. This is somewhat true with Android's drop down toggle on larger screen devices, but obviously more pronounced with BB10.

Maybe the size of the keyboard may be to the left or right and slightly smaller so all fingers are used easily. Who says a keyboard has to stretch across whole screen lol

Not necessarily. Other large screen devices such as Galaxy S4 don't require you to swipe from the far left of the screen to do basic tasks like you do with the Blackberry Hub on BB10. The Galaxy S4 is a big screen phone, but you don't need to stretch your thumb across the screen as all your 'thumb work' on the Galaxy S4 is done from the bottom or middle. The Blackberry Hub involves lots of swiping from the left of the screen. Something that is better suited for the smaller Z10.
