Can anyone confirm this. Whenever I close the BBM app on my girlfriends phone any messages I send will not be delivered nor will a notification show up on her phone. It's not a big deal to have the app open, at least active in the multitasking carousel, but I could see it being an issue for some. The phone is running iOS 7.

Also, even after opening BBM on the iPhone, the messages that I had sent still won't go through but any messages I send subsequently will go through.

Yes I've noticed that yesterday. But I think it had to do with the servers. We will see once they relaunch it

Also noticing that if the phone is idle for more then 5 min then I will also get this issue of no messages going through. I hope it just has to do with whatever they are doing on the server side.

Someone mentioned that you have to go to notification center and enable it.

It may be turned off by default.
