For all of you complaining/commenting about the high price of the Z30, just wait 6 months and it will be much cheaper.

For what it's worth, I agree the price is too high and BlackBerry should be focused on re-establishing their base, but that would be a good executive decision and we all know adverse they are to doing such a thing.

Um, if you wait X months the price of any cellphone will decrease >_>. When z10 and q10 came out, I wasn't seeing much of them in the public, but when the price came down to $50 and $0 on contract then I actually saw people use them in the public. BlackBerry should launch the Z30 at a competitive price point.

Or you could just buy one used a month or two after release... pre-owned bb10 devices aren't worth very much.

529 at Selfridges, which is worryingly close to the Sony Z1 given the discrepancy in specs.

Will see less sales than the Z10. Z10 barely made a dent and BB10 hasn't impressed enough new users.

With iOS 7, there's only going to be more app updates to complement the new look of the OS, spurring more app development as well as the dev community on that platform.

More grimly put, the recent news that 4,500 workers are going to be let go, along with the stock price going neg, some here are already having doubts about keeping their Z10.

The only thing BB got right, discounting how we on CB perceive things, now, is the hardware. Heck, people didn't even know what was relevant until Apple rolled it out in 2007. As Jobs has said, "A lot of times, people don't know what they want until you show it to them". I am sure Jobs himself can relate to the dev community jailbreaking his phone and showing him how apps can be done in 2007-08. Then, suddenly he turns 180 degrees, flips on web app development, and turns to app development. After realizing how a mobile device can empower its user, Apple began ripping off from the jailbreak community for tweaks and further refinement of iOS. Yes you read it right--for innovation.

At this rate, it is not going to benefit BlackBerry more to continue to invest in marketing if they still believe their current path is the way to be. Even by locking down BB10 and playing the "secure" OS tune, I don't see how that is going to help increase market share. Here is where logic is defied to BlackBerry: iPhones have been jailbroken within months after its inception, yet, it's user base is still growing in the corporate environment; even in government. Defense Signals Directorate certifies iOS 5 for gov't use, Dept of Defense clears iOS 6 for FIPS 140-2 allowing iPhones/iPads to connect to secure Pentagon networks. On top of all this, any 8 year old can jailbreak these devices. So where is BlackBerry in all this?

It is what it is, but I'm keeping my white Z10 just to go against the popular culture. My loyalty stays with BlackBerry, but the respect goes to Apple. I wouldn't pay $500 for any Z30.

It is an open secret that in India, almost all BlackBerry smartphones are priced at a premium. Such is the addictive power of this superbrand.

Only two exceptions till date - Q5 ($380) and Z10 ($470) are priced aggressively.

If Z30 is made available at $500 (instead of $670 which is wildly speculated), then BlackBerry will make a strong comeback in December Quarter.

Remember, in this competitive market, Lenovo K900 is selling at just $390 while :
    - Q10 ($630) sells at a premium of $160
    - Torch 9810 ($370) sells a premium of $130
    - Bold 9790 ($330) sells a premium of $120
    - 9720 ($250) sells a premium of $110
