My BB link does not automatically start when I connect my Z10. Yes, I have checked the settings and I even reinstalled link on my PC. I always have to launch link manually...a bit annoying considering I use my USB cable. Any ideas?

What OS are you running? Clicking one icon is easily enough for me. I have never tried the setting you are talking about though

Why would you want it to automatically start? Using BlackBerry Link is the equivalent of pounding your groin with a brick.

Howarmat: currently am running on 10.1.0.4633.
Mister sir: what I mean is, I would like for link to start up automatically when my Z10 is detected via USB connection. On my old 9700, I never had this issue with desktop manager. It's that simple!

Check if you have 32 bit or 64.

I know this is not answering your question but I would highly recommend against using BB Link. You'll end up hating BlackBerrry so much that you'll just end up screaming at your phone/computer and crying yourself to sleep each night. And then when you finally do fall asleep, you'll end up grinding your teeth and having to shell out $356 for a night mouthguard.

I saw another post somewhere that suggested repair it, stop BlackBerry link services.. reboot computer and plug in your phone..

Never used link never will. Seems like half the time you can't restore to a leaked is which is what I use so no point. I only have it installed to run the autoloaders.

Well, I don't know about you guys, but am more comfortable knowing that my phone is regularly backed up on my PC as I don't subscribe to any cloud backup service. I agree though, you all are right...Link is a pain the a$$.

I totally still back up. Google plus box and drop box will backup everything I. My phone. Plus protect incase I loose the device. My point is that you don't have to use link although I can see why you would for security etc.
