I recently bought a Z10 for my mom, and another for my wife. My Mom is coming from a bold 9700 on OS 6, and my wife is trying a blackberry, to see if she wants to upgrade from an iPhone 4 to a Z10, or to an iPhone 5S.

Anyway, they both had the same complaint: the contacts list lump together all of their Facebook friends amd LinkedIn contacts, with their existing address book from their old phones. Personally, I really like gaining everything in one big list, so it never occurred to me that some may not like it.

What do people here think? Do you like the combined contacts list, or would you rather be able to separate the different accounts?

I'm in the 'not bothered' boat.
I'm sure the reason they appear is because the option was left checked when setting up the mentioned 3rd party apps?

I like it this way. If they don't want those contacts to show, they can go into the settings on the contacts app and toggle which one they want to see.

You can hide certain types of contacts in your contacts app as well. eg: I tend to hide my LinkedIn contacts (That are just LinkedIn)

Are you aware that in that combined Contacts view, you can tap "All" in the bottom left corner, and view the different contact lists separately?

I was not aware of this. I just pointed it out to my mom, and she's much happier now. Thanks everyone.

It's truly amazing but with the current contact app bugs. It takes away some of the enjoyments of it.
