as much as I know CB isn't for competing websites articles, I read this, and I have to say it was damn well written.

To those CB Mods who still consider me a friend, don't close this down Let the traffic go to N4BB for this one, it's well deserved.

Yeah, I made sure I tweeted James commending him for the effort and time he must have put in. Very good article, definitely makes you look at the situation from a whole different angle.

    Great read. A must read!

Hmm, maybe with all the potential in QNX, BlackBerry will be out of smart phones but into much bigger, much different things....

That guy is a really good writer, though I wanted to go through and add comas and a few punctuation corrections.

I think he has a lot of good points. The QNX part of BlackBerry simply cannot just disappear and be turned off. There are far too many important things that rely on it. This is something that few people know, unless they have read about QNX and know that BlackBerry bought QNX. Even the BlackBerry "haters" that cheer for its downfall probably interact with a system running some version of QNX at least once a day.

I bet they'd have a different attitude about BlackBerry if someone told them about how a world without QNX would impact their daily lives.

That's a really good article though. A bit dramatic at times, but full of good points and a new, optimistic way of thinking about the future of BlackBerry, though I get the sense that the author is conceding that hardware may not be in BlackBerry's future..

QNX doesn't have any potential in consumer electronics. Surely It's good for nuclear plants, but smartphones have other requirements.

BB10 is a poorly designed system that requires 2gb of ram to run while WP and Android can run with 512mb or even less.
The blogger wants a low end device, but It's impossible because BB10 is such a memory hog.

BlackBerry 10 isn't poorly designed. Don't state opinion as fact.

Because MP3 players still run on 64mb or laptops use floppy disks as backup drives..get over the whole memory thing...

Thanks, I hope this could be copied and run on the front page, this is a very good read and does give a feeling of hope for the company.
