    9/12 had nothing to do with bbm. It's the official release to the carries of 10.2 so they can start testing it for their networks.

    Plus logic dictates if the beta was over, there is no point of delaying the release. At the very minimum BlackBerry could announce they have submitted the apps for approval to the respective app stores.

    Since it's still in beta. Nothing to announce

    It can take a week for apps to get approved in the app store. So lets say 1more week of testing then end of the second week its ready to go?

    They sure can. Each carrier has their own testing process and BlackBerry will submit different builds

    Not neccessarily.
    They can still run the beta alongside the release to test future versions as once its in the stores it should be easier to push updates out.

    We'll have to wait and see.

    You know, after reading all of the chatter going back and forth... if BBM is that important to you, and you must have it immediately... why not just go and buy a BB10 device this morning, and you'll have your BBM!!!!! Why wait and "settle" for an Android version....

    Apple is holding up bbm...
    Android can be submitted at anytime and be live within a few hours.

    Blackberry wouldn't release them at different times. If iOS versions ready the android will be....
