They should just skip that and go ahead with 10.2 already IMO...

Was there anything that referenced the Q10 getting the same update? Hopefully this encompasses them both.

That's great, it's one of the things I really like about T-Mobile. I wish I could use them in my area.

    Wooooohooooooooo

Now I will be able to transfer my Z10 data to my new Q10 and switch off on a daily basis if I want to.

I'm in a physical keyboard mood today.

I'm confused. I guess I thought the Z already got the upgrade. Nothing for the Q? I'm on 10.1.0.273...

The Z10 had 10.1.0.2025 on June 10th per my signature.

Nothing for the Q past initial 1720 build until tomorrow.

Does anyone know if this update will switch all the calendar, contacts, BBM themes to light versus dark? Were they putting the ability to toggle between the two in this update?

I would imagine this would have to be still a build with the unfortunate switch.

    FYI to all,

"Hansn" on the official Tmo forum staff claims that you will have to put in your email passwords again and some may still not work, so he suggests removing them all and re-adding. I hope that doesn't become necessary because removing them you will of course loose all your settings including Hub related settings and I imagine related Notification settings too.

Also, he claims you may get MEP locked. Call 611 if two reboots don't fix it.

To BlackBerry, T-Mobile, or both: There had to have been a better way. Come on now.

I'm on 10.2 and I'm definitely getting this. After all the hassle with wifi calling I would love to finally get an officially supported version.

What the heck? I've never heard of this happening due to a software update.

Just more evidence that just because US carriers delay updates and "test longer" doesn't mean the end result is necessarily all that much better than the standard, shorter testing the rest of the world does.

Some leaks used to give me the mep lock error. But a reboot always fixed it. I doubt it will be much of a problem.

Yeah but that was a leak. This is a carrier release. So much for "testing."

Honestly though, I'm GLAD T-Mobile chose not to hold up the release over this issue, like Verizon supposedly did over some obscure, almost user error generated issue.

I say spend another 1-2 weeks, don't make me loose all my account settings, and release it still a month+ before the other big two.

Before you update just backup your "Settings" using link. That's always worked for me when wiping for leaks. Just a small restore and you're done. At most you just have to update your account passwords. I have never lost anything using this and I doubt you will either.

Oh. And these are just precautionary tips. The vast majority will be unlikely to face these problems otherwise they wouldn't release it.

Can I just restore only settings from a full backup? I forget how that works.

Anyway, I hope you're right. Based on "Hansn"'s wording it makes it sound like updating does something and the accounts have to be re-added fresh.

I don't know. I only ever do a settings backup. Just make a new backup of your settings. It's only a couple megabytes and will take a minute or 2.

I'm still confused. The OP is about new software coming to the Z on September 5th. Then STV0726 says nothing new for the Q "until tomorrow". So is the update for the Z, the Q, or both?

If you look at the top right at the "related" section you will see a link for the Q10.
