Or does it seem like BB10 is getting more and more great games at a much quicker pace lately?

Maybe the upcoming 10.2 really will make the difference.

Yep, there have been a few great ones released over last little while.

Some are a result of the Unity engine being fully available for BB10 development, but lots have nothing to do with that too.

Whatever the reason... Keep 'em coming!

I agree a lot more games are being released. What I find funny is a lot of these games take a lot more time to develop than say an Instagram app and they also have far less resources to create their games too.

Yeah lots more are really coming to BlackBerry
That's a good sign too! Developers are seeing bb10 as a platform they can invest in!

I think a lot of games use 3rd party development libraries and tools, like Unity. These are petty much set up for cross platform development from the start, letting them get the same game on iOS and Android. It's probably a lot easier to port these over, since the libraries are already supported.

I think most apps end up staying from scratch to use Cascades, while games port over. It just took a while to get game developers on board.

Yeah true that. We might be getting them slightly later but they are coming. So that's a good thing.

The initial development may take longer but games are almost always easier to port than normal apps. Windows Phone has games, WebOS had games, and even Maemo had Angry Birds.

Not sure, but with the release of Real Racing 3, I think they're releasing more faster games. ha ha

Yes that's true but it's not as simple as you make it sound. Also it's not just about porting it over its also about resources, someone like Instagram has infinite resources compared to other companies. When you factor those resources I doubt it's as difficult.
