And the off contract price is crazy cheap!

$379 to buy it outright. Dang that's a good deal!
    The 9930 STILL COSTS MORE!

Would this phone work in Europe (don't really need 4G, interested only in speeds of EDGE and 3G)? If so, for that price would be an awesome deal. Since i couldn't visit their page, I'm not sure of that.

My converstaion with Sprint this morning. Read the whole converstaion some interesting information>

Madison S. : Thank you for contacting Sprint, my name is Madison S. . I am happy to help you today.
Madison S. : Hello, good morning! I hope you're doing well today.
    Madison S. : Hi, Curtis!
Madison S. : Please give me a moment to review your account.
    You: ok
Madison S. : Thank you for waiting.
Madison S. : Curtis, your chat reason indicates that you want to get the new Blackberry Q10 phone, right?
You: yes but I dont want to do a 2 yr agreement I have the 9930
You: how long have I been a loyal sprint customer?
Madison S. : Curtis, I've checked that you started the service with us us since 1998.
Madison S. : Wow! A very loyal customer.
Madison S. : Curtis, for the Blackberry Q10, the available option that we have is for this phone to be under 2-year service contract agreement. We're not that sure yet when this phone will be available for non-contract.
You: Ok so that is something Sprint is considering doing like T-Mobile is doing?
Madison S. : Yes, we are all considering some options for our customers. Will it be fine with you if I'll also leave a direct number where you can speak to someone live just in case you're already decided to make the update?
    You: sure
Madison S. : Thank you for waiting.
Madison S. : Here's the direct phone number for our support team: 866-866-7509 or 800-480-4727 and also I would suggest sprint.com/blackberry to check for the latest update for the phone.
You: also do you know how much data I use on average with my 9930?
Madison S. : Sure. Let me check the details for you.
Madison S. : Thank you for your patience, I will have the information shortly.
    You: great
Madison S. : Thank you for waiting.
Madison S. : Curtis, as what I have on the record, the average data is 244509KB. This is less than 1GB data usage.
You: Ok I was never sure how much I used. so Im not a heavy data user then
Madison S. : Yes, that is correct.
Madison S. : It's an honor assisting a very pleasant customer like you, Curtis. For what it’s worth, I want to thank you for the time and patience you invested on this chat.
Madison S. : Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
You: You were great and Sprints customer service has always been great for me. Have a great Labor Day weekend. Thank You
Madison S. : You're welcome and same to you, Curtis! Have a great Labor Day weekend, too! Please take care. Bye now!

Interesting. Well I'm sure walking into a Sprint store with cash in hand would yield a different result. I'm sure anyone can just buy the phone outright. But seems the person in the chat was polite, and reasonably knowledgeable.

Which Sprint store do you work at? LOL $379 for a smart phone you can buy a computer for that. Smart phones should come free with a monthly contract (I know some do) since even the monthly fees are a highway robbery.

But if you look at AT&T and VZW price on the same phone you are gonna ask what the hell.

Ok, now I finally get to rant!
I will never, ever, buy anything from Sprint or have their service. Why? Because I grew up with United Telephone, which became Sprint. Just like others on this board who have loyalties or have been burned, 20 years of horrible phone service guarantees I wouldn't touch anything Sprint with a 10 foot pole.
I am so glad our local Bell carrier has cell phone (and internet and TV) service available.

Hardly. After 10 years in home health direct care and Coordination, I deliver pizzas for a living now and make more money.

Its worth it to even buy the phone off contract for $375 then to pay $200 or $100 and sign a 2 year contract, screw that 2 year contract
