Verizon just unleashed update for Q10 2 nights ago 8/26/13. Since the update when I txt people it automatically turns SMS txt into MMS txt and adds another participant, turns it into a group chat automatically. Now the person I am txting is listed as two recipients and every message I send goes to them two times.. next I can't delete the other participant (same #).. additionally from the txt message app it won't allow me to delete the conversation.. If I create a new txt message it just adds it to the old thread and sends them two messages. My friends / coworkers are getting annoyed with the double messages it's whack.. let me know anyone has same experience or some ideas, thanks

Yeah Mine too!!!! The only fix i've seen so far is to delete the conversation completely and text them again... DOes anybody have a fix that doesn't require me to delete the previous text?

Check in contacts if there's two entries under links. If there's a duplicate unlink and delete one. It should fix.

I had this with one of the 10.2 leaks. The only solution I found was to delete the conversation. Just would come back from either an MMS message or a group chat. I wasn't able to figure it out before I upgraded to a newer leak which doesn't have this issue.

I just started a new thread on this. Maybe it can be merged. Same issue here.

I found the fix I think you have to remove. Txt messages being displayed in hub, then delete the message, you will lose previous messages but not ones that are about 1 month old..

Same here, it's really quite annoying and it only happens with specific contacts. To end a chat I just enter the conversation, and hit end chat from within the thread

I checked there aren't two links to the same contact. I didn't see an option to unlink after pressing the icon.

Linking and unlinking does not work. Deleting messages seem to be the only way to fix this, temporarily.

I had 3 contacts do this today.

If you can't delete a message, First: Clear Chat. Second : Delete. That can sometimes allow you to delete something that won't go away.
