Have you got location services turned on in Settings?

Edit: I'm getting the same error message, both on WiFi and on the network. I'm also on 10.2. However, I can access it on my 9900.

I asked around and the person who answered is also having the same error. Since I can access it on my BBOS devices I am thinking that this is either a BB10 issue for some builds or a Z issue on some builds.

I'm on 10.2.0.1047. I'm waiting to hear from the 10.2 gurus to whom I've sent the question.

I have the same, I am running 10.2 leak and I saw somewhere on the forums that this is a known issue.

Interesting. No problem on my Q if I don't restore. Maybe it's a Z issue because of the dated Wifi chip.

It's been a common problem, in many threads since the 10.2 leaks came out. I hardly use the app anyway, I find the mobile browser version better. I CAN "check in" using the browser. BTW. It was happening before and after the Facebook update to its app.

I just noticed this today as well on 10.2. I would like this fixed and suspect they will get to this on the next release. Anybody have any update to this?

Clicking on parental controls messed up the Facebook check in for me. I wiped my phone and didn't restore. It's fixed as long as I don't mess with parental controls.

Make sure you location permission is ON in the "permission details" for facebook

All my permissions are on and I have not set any parental options either. However I will look to see if there any default settings.

Go to Settings>Security and Privacy>Application permissions>click on facebook and turn on the location button. After that check that you have location tuned on in location services. After that your FB will share your location.
