Hello everyone,

One of the main's cellphone or smartphone mission is to let you store and save your life. It includes both personal and professional contacts.

The first thing you do when you get your phone is the drastic burden of adding your whole phonebook in, including some additional informations such as addresses, job and company details, social networks, birthday, personalised ring tones, many phone numbers per contact and sometimes, a beautiful or ugly picture of your buddies and coworkers.

BlackBerry was and still is the leader for security and business management. One of the best piece of technology ever created.

How such device like the Z10 can have so many bugs with the contact/phonebook part!?
It's like to say "how can't a luxury car have a decent and functional wheel?"

For instance, yesterday, I had to modify a home address of one of my contact. After doing so, I pressed the "save" button and the phonebook refreshed itself upon saving and my contact was gone. Then, I recreated a new contact of this particular contact and when I hit "save", it asked me if I wanted to create a duplicate... lol

I rebooted my phone and the contact presumably lost repoped up...

One day, I may lose a contact for sure!

Are you guys scared of losing your life's contents due to some phonebook's weird bugs?

yeah i worry about it to the point that i haven't slept in almost 9 years, which is ironically when I got my first cell phone.


no dude, my stuff is backed up on my desktop, and with the z10 it's backed up with my gmail account.

Yes, I hate this! Not only do I lose contacts entirely sometimes, I lose bits of info from contacts. I've had to re-add my mothers address so many times because it doesn't save when I click "save". So annoying.

I loose them, delete some or edit them and they come back. I keep my 9900 with me for looking up contacts. But my iPhone 5 is doing the same thing. It has to do with syncing. I never synced my iPhone 4 that I know of and didn't have the problem and my 9900 syncs my Google contacts but it doesn't do all the crazy stuff as my Z10 and iPhone 5

Nope. I can count all my friends on one hand. I just sticky note their phone numbers around my mansion.

You can't assign a ringtone, picture or detailed contact info that's why!

Using an outlook.com account, all my contact details are synced perfectly so no need to worry.

Had this problem, but after i moved all my contact info to google contacts from sim card and local its became very comfortable, no problems of any kind

On this subject, my contacts both personal and business about 2600 sync via Activesync and my company computer. When I have lost the connection I have NO contacts! What is the thought on coping them to the sim card but not showing them in the hub? Would that be a good back up? Would it cause duplicated contacts on my computer?
