    Yeah, I just downloaded and it works beautifully. Wow. Really cool mapping app!!!

    After the upgrade, it still remembers all my previous searches and favourites and home and work locations. The turn by turn voice guidance works beautifully too.

    Good to hear. I thought some were saying that BB Maps wasn't working after the update? Hmmm....will update and try it again to see.

    yes indeed Patrick, seems to be snappier than before, I had no loss of customised settings and places.

    BlackBerry Maps did me a major solid in steering me around traffic on my way back in to NYC last night (a Sunday evening, no less). Sav what you want. This app works amazingly well for me.

    Ditto!! We used it last week in South Carolina. Routed us around a major traffic accident with "traffic incident" warnings and rerouted in less then 4 seconds, no joke. By far better then the $300 stand alone GPS that is now a fancy paper weight.

    Frustrated with BlackBerry for not yet implementing what should've been there since day 1.

    I did read somewhere in these forums that Maps in final 10.2 will have landscape support.

    Don't need it and don't want it. For that I use http://m.mta.info or any local transport app if I'm traveling. BlackBerry Maps is for those of us fortunate enough to have a car when we want it.

    And that may illustrate why you still see more BlackBerry devices than any other brand in the First Class cabin.

    I just updated (VzW Z10 10.1.0.2039) and now Maps doesn't open at all.

    Don't know what magical OS version that the people that this update is working for are running but there seems to be a ton of us that have been hosed by this 'update '.

    Been running and developing for this version on 10.2 for some time now. Been working nice with not a single problem. And yes it does have landscape support, though why anyone would use it in that orientation is beyond me.

    I use a short cut to google maps on my homescreen. Works really well for public transit.
