OK, we all know market share here is below 1%. BB10 doubled it to .6% last quarter. I think that equates to about two dozen devices.

Seriously, I have just spoken with a friend who works at one of the bigger retailers of BB10 devices. JB HiFi. They aren't selling the ones they have in stock, and have decided not to purchase any more. He's never seen a line of phones so neglected. It's pretty sad, he says.

So, there you go. Scratch Australia off the list of Blackberry converted.

I am in Sydney. Bought my 1st BlackBerry in June this year - Z10. Absolutely think it is a brilliant device compared to what else is out there. Just bought my Mum a Z10 last week and she has adapted. Also a customer of mine in Perth just bought one. I must say that when I bought mine and my mums the sales people tried to push all but blackberry.

When I was shopping to buy the Z10 I tried a JB hifi store and the sales person talked me out of it and said the Iphone was the best choice. I left with my money. Stores like JB get these devices on good faith but are often let down by poor customer service and ill trained staff.

BlackBerry Australia hasn't always been amazing... good marketing, but they fall down at the shop floor.

You are only as good as the salespeople will let you be.

BlackBerry Australia has good marketing. Melbourne has more BlackBerry marketing than Apple does.

Unfortunately, trying to get a BlackBerry is more about YOU trying to convince the Salesperson to allow you to buy it, rather than the Salesperson selling it to you.

    Australia knows NOTHING about BlackBerry...
