When I search right from the browser it goes to Bing. I would like the search engine to be Google.

Start typing something in the browser address bar, on top right you'll see a button for search engine. Click it and change it to Google.

    Easy to do.

Start typing in the url bar then you will notice an icon in the top right corner, click on it and you have several search engines to choose from

Can you add a search engine or the option to search Wikipedia?

I know that Google will most often have the Wikipedia result near the top of the list but I'd like to have the opportunity to search Wikipedia directly.

tap the three white dots bottom right corner tap settings/display and action. The first item allows you to select "on Startup Show" select My Home Page and in the text box immediately below enter google.com and enter.

EDIT: I like to start with a blank screen, you can do that by following the steps above and entering about:blank in the text box.

Probably because Google is already in Your list of search engines. With mobile devices, Google automatically gives you the region specific search results so no need to specify. Co.uk. Simply choose Google as your default search engine.

Ok, just tested mine and it gives me mainly UK results with a smattering of US ones. Should be a way to specify what results you want. Deeper digging needed.

Ok, I've tried a few things and not managed to get anywhere. Maybe just best to Bing it? Or use DuckDuck or Yahoo.

Ok, I tried again with duckduckgo.com which worked, then wiki which also worked.

Already had bing.com on mine do I deleted that and tried to add bing.co.uk the option won't show, doesn't show with bing.com either.

Glad I never tried that with google!

Have you tried turning off your wifi and mobile data.
Reset your search engines from the browser. Clear history and cookies. When done swipe browser into an active frame and long press the X to close the app.
Then turn your data back on and try again
