The 9900 isn't a bad phone. I personally couldn't go back to it now I have a Q10 but to each his own.

If all your doing is the basic phone, text, and email then the 9900 would perfectly suit your needs in 2013. Anything more and I'd stick with the Q.

Its not that I dnt like the Q, I absolutely love it, but I HAVE to give it away, for personal reasons which I cnt say and has nothing to do with the phone, and do u guys think the newly announced bold 9720 is more favourable to get???

9900 is a premium phone, from what I have read the 9720 is more mid range.

I have had a 9900 for 2 years now and have no intention of replacing it, IMO there is nothing better out there than the Bold.

Where would u most recomend me getting one from seeing as phone shops dnt sell them anymore, and does the 9900 give u a lot of problems, the minor ones which can bug a user alot???

I bought my 9930 off of Ebay. I got one that was only slightly used. Well worth every penny I spent on it. I have never had any of the issues that most other folks talk about. Battery life is amazing. My only issue was a keyboard issue that many on here also experienced but I found a free fix on here and have not had any issues.

Touch wood I have not had a single problem with my 9900 in the 2 years I have used it as a daily driver.

As to where to source one from, have a look on Amazon, there is usually a selection of new, used and refurbished units to choose from.

9900 is now my main phone, and the q10 is either in the drawer pending some updates to make it bearable or awaiting a damn good ebaying to teach it a lesson.

Different phones suit different people. If you value productivity and beleive the modern smartphone has sacrificed user convenciences for manufacturers strategic goals then you will never regret moving to a Bold. If you want a modern smart phone in the spirit of what you may have been used to before from BB, the q10 isn't it, but it really is as close as you will get for now.

    What network are you on?
The 9900/30 is available new from ATT, Verizon and Sprint.

If you buy a unlocked 9900 from another source, make sure it's the right version for your network.

I'm actually now considering to get the newly announced 9720, it looks nice and I think will perform well and justify my needs which are simple, the 9900 is also still quite expensive

I think the 9720 is the last OS 7 device that's going to be made. There really is no point in them releasing anymore.

Lets hope so, and if it was going to be the last then I dnt know why they wouldnt go all out on it and produce a revamped 9900 to satisfy those who do still want a OS 7 device. At the end its alright, I think the 9720 is gna be a nice all round device, it has to be really, since it being the last OS 7 device.

I doubt they would want to spend much money on it. It's really just for low end markets I think. For those that cannot afford the bb10 devices.

I would buy a Bold 99xx before a 9720 simply because you're shelling out a little more for more power and premium hardware. Question, though... does the 9720 have an auto-focus camera??

i would want to aswell but its alot more expensive from a trustworthy source, but i think the power provided will be more than enough because all i will be doing with the phone is calling, texting, whatsapping and bbming. And i dnt know about the camera and honestly it doesnt bother me if it is or isnt, i dnt really use the camera anyways, aslong as it takes pictures with okay quality its okay, will be used when needed
