Hey Guys,

I can't find anyone else's thread on this so I thought I would share.

When I loaded the leaked 10.2 I had to pair it to my car again.

It is a little different setup screen.



I selected the Sync, and and entered the passcode provided.



Then when I paired it to my Sync In Car it asked me what brand the car was.



Then once it is paired tt showed a My Car Symbol



I wonder what new features this will offer? Will it be similar to siri eyes free? If anyone can share some news, or speculation that would be awesome!

My car feature overrides your lockscreen settings, so that when connected to the car BT it looks the screed in 30ish seconds so you can't use the phone--has been wreaking havoc with people trying to drive and use their map applications.

Haven't really noticed anything change with this except now your device can barely be used. Screen timeout and lock settings are changed to only seconds as it attempts to force you to use the vehicle controls. While interesting, I prefer to use my phone when connected to Bluetooth and therefore have unset this. To do that, click and hold on the profile and then click unset.

Hmm. I didn't notice any loss of functionality when it is in this new mode. But I haven't really used my phone while driving much so far.

Only occurs when the profile is active/connected .

If u use a password to unlock your phone, you'll notice a big difference.

Yup...it also won't let me select Buick...only Chevy, GMC, or Cadillac.

If the lock screen annoys you, long hold on the car in Bluetooth settings and select "Unset My Car". You'll still have Bluetooth but the lock screen won't appear.

Anyone know what the criteria is for "My Car" to appear on the lock screen? I'm running the .1443 leak and re-paired it to my '11 Kia's factory Bluetooth but nothing has changed - Bluetooth is working but I don't see a way to manually set "My Car" and it didn't automatically configure the setting.

It works based on the hardware address of the blue tooth in the head unit. It either recognizes it or doesn't. Kinda like network mac addresses in pcs.. first few digits are the manufacturer.

Once paired, press down on your car listing on your bluetooth devices on your phone and you'll see a sidebar with either "set my phone" Or "unset" chose which you want to do. On my MBZ, nothing changed unfortunately-lol

No such luck I guess, the Z10 doesn't seem to recognize my Kia's factory Bluetooth as a "Car". There doesn't seem to be a way to manually set it up either.

I've had this with my Mazda as well..but at least it doesn't locked out after 10 secs..although I wish the My Car worked on my Z10 10.2.1047 just to see what's it like

As of the last leek it works with my hyndai. but it could have been I deleted the pairing from my radio and re-paired it. in the past i didnt pair my phone after updateing

So with the latest leaked OS I have the ability to enable BT audio and phone. I am cool with that, I just want to stop sending messages to my device, so every time a new message comes in I get a message on my display: Download new message or download later. There is no option in my NAV system or Head Unit to turn this off. The car is a Mazda CX5 and I do need hands free calling - BT Streaming... meh - I have gone through all settings with a BB expert and we are unable to perform this task.

Just wanted to follow up that I finally loaded the leaked 10.2.1.1925 and it now detects my car properly. Woo-hoo!
