does anybody have the problem where some of their apps (i.e check, flipboard) can't access your wireless network connection when you're not on wifi? i'm on the 1047 runtime.

Yup. I've got the same issue.

Seems to come in and out. For the first 2 days after I installed .1047 a bunch of my side loads couldn't find a connection unless I was on Wifi.. then magically they could. All was fine for almost a week.. then earlier today they couldn't again.. did a hard rest and then they could again..

    This stuff happens with leaks.

The reason is that the Android runtime on 1047 is running in safe mode.

This week will bring 10.2 Gold and hence a newer Android runtime.

    That's not correct.

All the previous android runtimes were in 'safe mode' as well, except for .663 and. 810. And there was no problem with apps acesing data in previous 10.0 or 10.1 builds. This has nothing to do with safe mode, it's just a glitch pure and simple. Dealing with glitches is a risk we all take running leaked OS 's. Choices are to put up with it and wait for the next one or to downgrade back to a stable version.

Turn on airplane mode and off after... this should let your Android apps have a network connection. It worked for me !

Hey Sebasbado. I just tried turning airplane mode on and off. Got network access for Waze. Thanks for the tip.
