I used to record videos on my phone and it would play well, but now whenever I record a video it refuses to play, it always says: 'this file contains an unsupported media format'. Sometimes also, although it happened at one instance, after taking some pictures like 10, 3 of them refused to open. They would show on gallery grid view of my pictures, but when i click on them, they refuse to show. And finally, I recorded some audio recordings of myself singing, and they played well, but after like 3 days or so, one of them refused to play anymore and started telling me: 'this file contains an unsupported media format'. Help!!!

I'm wondering if there's a problem with the way the SD card is formatted maybe. What happens if you take it out and record a short video to the internal storage?

I tried it and it played well without the SD card. Then i put the card back again and recorded a video, and it said the same unsupported media format thingy. Should I wipe my card or something?

correct me if im wrong, but isn't the z10 only capable of a 32gb memory card? 64 is fine if you format it?

Don't own one so not sure. just saw it in a review.

    did you format yours?

I'm not sure if a 64gb card will work. You may be able to format it as a 32gb card, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having a 64gb card...

How do I format it to a different format? I thought formatting was just to delete EVERYTHING in the card?

    Go into Settings>Storage and access:

Cant play videos that I recorded-img_00000677.png

Erase, then format. Formatting in the phone prepares the card for use in the phone.

It will erase everything on the card, so back it up to a computer first.

I'm having the same problem. Has anyone found a solution yet?

I was all excited to show my wife a video of our son skating for the first time and came across the same message when trying to play it back. I sure hope it will play back on my computer.

Sorry, should have mentioned I am using a 32gb card and running 10.1.0.4181 on a stl100-3. All media is saved to the card.

32GB? I was thinking of selling my 64gb to get a 32GB, but now you're telling me it's the same thing?
