I have a user with a Q10 where the LED to the left of the ear piece is a solid red light. This is the light to the far left, not the sensor directly next to the ear piece (see attached photo). Any idea what this is and why it won't go out? We tried pulling the battery, but it came right back on. It is killing the battery on the phone. TIA!

I didnt even know there was a light to left of the ear piece. Looks like the phone is f*&^ed to me.

There is a light that lights up when you are in a phone call that has to do with the sensor that shuts the screen off when it is up to your face. I have never seen it light up outside of a phone call though.

Try BlackBerry Virtual Expert see what it says or does to provide a fix. It's free in BlackBerry World.
But as stated it appears to be the proximity sensor.

Thanks for the replies. Verizon agreed to replace it as they (and I) think it's defective. It's not even 2 weeks old.

I've got same issue. Just suddenly started. Thanks for the advice with Virtual Expert. Sensor fails this test as it won't detect when dark. Will have to see if it can be repaired
