Higher versions of 10.1 have them, and 10.2.0.1047 has em. We got our first one here in California on Monday night. Apparently it was the first one ever pushed in the state, multiple articles on it that I saw. I was still awake, but it was nearly 11pm local and I guess some people were freaking out not knowing how to turn them off on their devices or what they were. There was some thought this could possibly be carrier controlled, but I think we narrowed it down to OS version.

This system is currently bring rolled out as carriers get setup for it.
So you may have it on your phone but the carrier has not completed the backend setups. Thus you may not receive them until they are setup on their end of things.

I got the California Amber Alert Aug 6th at 4:05PM. Yet some people talk about it waking them up. Strange. I was actually on a call. It must have made a noise since I did pause to see what was happening.

Have you heard anyone else in your area claim that they received one on their device? You won't receive one unless there is an emergency situation in your immediate area. They're pretty infrequent around here.

Wife and I both got it right on time.

Any chance you were out of state on the 5th? Went out after 10 on the 5th. Also who is your carrier, we are both ATT.

I am with Att 10.1 and I get weather alerts from my weather app BeWeather. I have never received an Amber alert

I use to receive alerts on my ATT Torch 9810 so I was wondering when the ATT Z10 was going to get it. I most likely will get it in the 10.1 maintenance update or 10.2

I have Z10 with 10.1.0.4187 on AT&T and had to enable it to work. It wasn't enabled by default.
