N4BB is reporting that they have found an icon for what looks like a Cardholder App in BB10.2

I for one am quite interested in this. I was impressed by Apple�s Passbook app when they announced it. Though after it was released it, I wasn't much of a fan, in fact I don't like it, but the concept is still great. If they implement it well & it uses NFC, I can see it as being a great app.

What do you guys think?

Sure sounds interesting! However just because the icon is there does not mean they are adding it for sure, they could just be testing it and then will decide if they want to implement it or not.

Nothing in any leak is ever confirmed until the offical release. However I hope they do have this app.....though it will have to be well implemented or it will suck. I don't see this as being an easy app to get right because it requires so much from so many 3rd parties. It may be the best app ever, but if no stores, airlines, theatres, ect. implement it, it will be usless.......

Worth releasing it for Android too?
Maybe then it will be standardized and a way to make money via the backbone and Nfc could be figured out later.
They have android developers now so could be worth a shot.

I would really love to have this... If we could also get some BBM money transfer integration and whatnot it would put BB ahead in terms of mobile wallet...

I will use it-- one of the first things I looked for when I got my z10 was look for BB Wallet app, and was disappointed that I couldnt find one. And although the Wallet app wasnt the most functional, it was a convenient place to store all of my cc info safely in my BB device.

They may be working on it but for right now, the files suggest it's very very basic. It's pretty much nothing but an icon and a shell of an app with some really poorly named images lol. Time will tell though I suppose.

This wouid be great to have, but the success of it would heavily depend on third party developer support. Not sure if we could count on that. How many would develop for iOS Passbook and this?

Hopefully there will be a coupon/loyalty car implemented.

Going to the gym/store (like Air Miles/point cards) I wouldn't have to look at my damn key chain or go through my wallet to find my membership/loyalty card.

Scanable coupons = no more every paper/bloat in my wallet/house/car.

Banks are working on NFC for debit etc so if that was implemented too. This app will be gold for BlackBerry.

It will also be something that iPhone will never be able to do since they don't believe in NFC. BlackBerry >iPhone

no it's still showing up here & there in the leaks....curious to see what it's like on the Z30...assuming it's there, as I've not seen anyone mention it....come to think of it, CB has been very quiet about the Z30. I've had to get my Z30 info from N4BB

People would have mentioned it by now. Seeing 10.2 right now, I don't think they'd be adding anything new except if they add card holder in app world just like print to go is right now. 10.2.1 might be the OS if they were to bring it. Is it still in the 1767 files?
